This map was made for local and visiting trail users in Athens, Ohio. Most maps of the trail system are single color without shade relief. The colors keyed trails allow for differentation from the lesser map lines, and the shading helps to show terrain variation without the addition of topo lines that can sometimes creat a distracting visual noise to the trail lines.
Information
Several map elemnts include the essence of the Athens, Ohio Region. An example would be the map compass that includes the Athens Trial symbol, the Athens, Ohio flag, and a chainring with heart shaped cutouts.
